We believe in the power of learning and sharing life's lessons, all while embarking on a transformative journey across India – outside the comfort of our homes, aboard a moving train. For 17 successful years, Jagriti Yatra has been guided by the robust framework of the Middle India Diamond theory. This theory forms the bedrock of our programming, intertwining seamlessly with our philosophy of nation-building through enterprise. We firmly believe that the hidden soul of India resides in its small towns and districts, and to truly understand it, one must explore its hinterland.

MISSION
Jagriti creates purpose, employment, and ecosystems in Middle India with its core philosophy of Udyamita. Jagriti will achieve this by inspiring leaders across Middle India through a robust incubation and innovation ecosystem approach.
Gone are the days of viewing India as a pyramid, with a few at the top dictating its course. We advocate for a shift in focus towards the middle, recognizing it as the true center of gravity. Our aim is to empower the youth – the driving force of change in the youngest nation on Earth – by mobilizing them through enterprise to create and build. Furthermore, we recognize the pivotal role of women in nation-building and strive to bring them to the forefront of our initiatives. It's time to discard old world views and embrace fresh perspectives for a new beginning – a new framing of India's narrative.
For 16 years, our theory has proven its effectiveness, impacting over 8000 yatris and nurturing changemakers and entrepreneurs through Jagriti Yatra. Middle of Diamond India proposes a revolutionary idea - that India has long ignored its largest and most talented segment, citizens in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 districts, its Middle.
The book reveals the hidden stories of those in its Middle who have been ignored owing to their location and language. By examining India's revolutionary past, its culture, its citizens, its innovators, and its spirit, the book illuminates this Diamond shaped India.
Replete with characters, anecdotes, insights, research and accounts of an annual pilgrimage on a special train-Jagriti Yatra, and an enterprise ecosystem established in Deoria district, the book outlines a new vision of India focussed on its rising Middle. It proposes a Banyan Revolution over the coming twenty-five years of Amrit Kaal, using the tool of enterprise or Udyamita that can ignite a national renaissance.
